Salmon Study Submission Writing Party!
The independent salmon study currently underway is a rare opportunity for community members to have their concerns, observations and aspirations for Tasmania's waterways formally considered.
To help people prepare and submit your responses, Environment Tasmania and Neighbours of Fish Farming are hosting two community submission writing events this weekend and next week. These sessions will provide an overview of the study, insights from campaigners and experts working on salmon farming issues, and practical support to help you write and lodge your submission.
Whether you are concerned about impacts on marine ecosystems, local communities, recreational fishing, water quality, wildlife, or the future of aquaculture in Tasmania, we encourage you to make your voice heard.
Cygnet Submission Writing Event 📅 Sunday 28 June, 4:00–6:00pm 📍 Lovett Gallery, Cygnet
This event will also include a special screening of Love Letter to the Unseen, a short film celebrating the unique marine life of Tasmania and the threats to the endangered Maugean Skate. Hear from Jess Coughlan (Environment Tasmania), Lilly Henley (Neighbours of Fish Farming) and special guest, Rosalie Woodruff (Tasmanian Greens).
